International Expert Status at Indian Institute of Technology

Professors Seema Agarwal and Andreas Greiner from UBT have been awarded International Expert Status at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India, under the Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC).

In a collaboration between scientists from Physics and Chemistry at the University of Bayreuth and Physical Chemistry at the University of Melbourne, it has now been possible to realize optically switchable photonic units that enable precise addressing of individual units.

Animal Ecology

New ERC Starting Grant at the University of Bayreuth

The University of Bayreuth welcomes: Dr. Jos Kramer. He will be researching
from June 2025 on for five years on animal-microbe interactions at the Chair of Evolutionary Animal Ecology. This means that an excellent
young scientist comes to the UBT with an ERC Starting Grant.
