Battery Technology, Master of Science (M.Sc.)

Supplying our society with sustainable, non-climate-damaging energy is one of the great challenges of the 21st century. Today we assume that by 2030, global demand for batteries for electric vehicles, stationary storage, and consumer electronics will increase at least 14-fold. This enormous demand is leading to a massive expansion of production capacities throughout Europe and urgently requires highly qualified professionals who have the necessary battery know-how along the entire value chain. The engineering-oriented Bayreuth master's programme "Battery Technology" addresses the central issues of energy storage in an interdisciplinary way, and is training top professionals in the field of battery technology.

I chose the University of Bayreuth because it offers new and interesting degree programmes and you get some good insights into current research. Bayreuth is also a nice college town where there's something going on every weekend, especially in the summer.
