Food & Health Sciences, Master of Science (M.Sc.)

Nutrition and health are a common combination of terms. But what foods are actually healthy and why? How can we sustainably produce sufficient quantities of high-quality food? What set of rules can guide us through the conflicting priorities of safety and efficiency, enjoyment and risk, consumer rights and sufficient information? You will deal with these and similar questions in the Master's programme "Food & Health Sciences".

Ina Hanawacker
Bayreuth is the perfect choice for me! The interdisciplinary and practice-oriented degree programme combines content from the ecology and biochemistry of food with health economics and sports science. The good supervision, the laboratory equipment, and the individual focus on my career aspirations in the health sector are an ideal fit. In addition, you immediately feel at home on the green campus - cool people, short walking distances, a cafeteria with healthy food, and even the rents are affordable here. What more could you want?
