- Advising and supporting appointment and evaluation committees on issues related to appointment procedures, interim and tenure evaluations, and conversion of limitation
- Procedural review of appointments procedure documents, preparation of documents for the committees, and implementation of committee decisions
- Supervision of the online appointments portal and monitoring of procedures
- Project support for the Federal States Programme for the Promotion of Early-Career Scholars (together with the Early-Career Scholars Staff Unit)
- Conceptual development and coordination of projects or strategic issues
