Changes to traffic routing in the entrance area from 16 March 2026
Due to construction work, there will be a change to the traffic routing in the area around the university entrance:
- For pedestrians and cyclists, only the northern footpath and bike path on the side of the university’s welcome banner will be available in the entrance area to the campus. The southern footpath and bike path in the campus entrance area will be closed from the traffic lights to the sports building.
- For car and bus traffic heading into the university, the route will follow the daily construction site arrangements. Please therefore pay attention to the relevant, up-to-date signage on site. Traffic leaving the university will be diverted via the existing temporary lane.
- The altered traffic routing is expected to remain in place until mid-May.
Start of work on the E&I construction site from 16 March 2026
- From 16 March 2026, initial work will commence on the construction site for the new Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (E&I).
- Please note that there will be noise and increased traffic in the area of the entrance and car park P2 due to construction site traffic.

Closure of the crossing between ZT and FZA: Alternative walkway opened
- An alternative access route to the campus has now been opened to replace the walkway between ZT and FZA. It is located north of the ZT building, connecting the bus stops on Universitätsstraße with the cafeteria/university library:

The closure of the road between ZT and FZA also applies to the walkway
- If you are walking or cycling, please use the main entrance as an alternative access point to the campus
- An alternative walkway is currently being developed and will be announced shortly

Construction work on the north-east development project is expected to resume on 23 February 2026
- Closure of the ZT car park, including access road, from 23 February 2026
- Closure of the passage between ZT and FZA from 25 February 2026

Construction work on the north-east development project remains suspended due to weather conditions until 22 February 2026
