Partner University of Top Sports

As part of the "Partner University of Top Sports" cooperation agreement of June 2018 between the General German University Sports Association, the University of Bayreuth, the Upper Franconian Association for Student Affairs (SWO), and the German Basketball Federation (DBB), top student athletes are to be supported in combining studies and competitive sport commitments.

Faculties and university institutions are called upon to accommodate students as much as possible in organising their studies. The above-mentioned institutions will offer assistance in ensuring more flexibility and regulation with the following points:

• Planning of studies
• Approval of extended absences due to training camps or competitions
• Additional semesters off
• Extension of residence time in student halls of residence
• Free use of University sports facilities
• Attendance times in seminars and lectures
• Deadlines and examination dates
• and much more
