Girls' Day

The University of Bayreuth invites schoolgirls from 5th grade onwards to the campus for the nationwide Girls' Day. On this day, girls and young women have the opportunity to visit the practical workshops offered and to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of STEM subjects (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences, technology) and to get a taste of university life!

You fancy taking part in Girls’ Day at the University of Bayreuth? Great! Then register and come to our campus on Thursday, 03 April 2025. We are looking forward to your visit!

Girls' Day application and programme

Before you officially register for Girls' Day, please check from which grade your school allows participation in Girls' Day. In principle, you can register for this event from 5th grade onwards – unfortunately, some schools only allow participation from 7th or 8th grade onwards.

You can register for Girls' Day via the nationwide Girls‘ Day Homepage. There, the workshops offered by the University of Bayreuth will be listed individually from the end of February at the latest. You can find them by entering the location "Bayreuth" in the Girls' Day Radar and scrolling to "University of Bayreuth". Simply choose the workshop that interests you the most and click on "Register online" at the bottom.

Organisational matters

If you have successfully registered online for one of the workshops, you will receive a confirmation email from the Girls' Day office and, in addition, a few days before the event, an email from us (MINT coordination of the University of Bayreuth) with all the important information about your Girls' Day here on campus.
